Safari · the great rift valley

Five lakes along the floor of the Great Rift Valley, at an easy pace and never more than about 3½ hours on the road. Hippos and fish eagles at Naivasha, a bird paradise at Baringo, Bogoria’s geysers and flamingos, and Lake Nakuru’s rhino to finish.

The signature moment: Sundowners at Baboon Cliff, with rhino grazing on the shore of Lake Nakuru far below.
