Panari Hotel Nairobi: A 500-Room Hotel That’s Proven Its Accessibility
One of Nairobi’s largest hotels with a proven track record hosting IDA, APDK, NCPWD, and INABLE — plus accessible transport partnerships and a 100 cm lift.
With 500 rooms, Panari Hotel on Mombasa Road is one of Nairobi’s major conference and leisure destinations — and it has built a genuine track record in accessible hospitality, having hosted IDA (International Disability Alliance), ADA, APDK (Association for the Physically Disabled of Kenya), NCPWD (National Council for Persons with Disabilities), and INABLE.
Entry is via ramp, with designated accessible parking and a paved drop-off area. A lift with a 100 cm door width serves all floors. Four wheelchair-accessible rooms feature the full range of fixtures: roll-in showers, shower chairs, grab bars, raised toilets, space beside the bed, lowered fixtures, and emergency cords.
The hotel has partnered with car hire companies specialising in accessible transport solutions — a practical addition that extends the accessibility journey beyond the hotel’s own doors. Special dietary needs are fully catered for.
HONEST NOTE · Access to the Sky Lounge (rooftop) is currently limited. The hotel is working towards expanding accessible routes to this space.
