Maureen Wangari Reservations Manager
Maureen Wangari knows the safari business from the inside out — and that depth of experience is exactly what Accessible Travel Kenya’s clients feel from the very first enquiry.
With over a decade in Kenya’s travel and tourism industry, Maureen has built her career across some of the country’s most respected operators, from lodge front offices in the Masai Mara to fast-paced reservations desks handling both domestic and international clientele. Most recently she spent seven years at Turnup.Travel, rising through the ranks from Tour Consultant to Reservations and Sales Manager — reviewing booking platforms, scouting destinations, managing client relationships, and representing the company at industry level. Before that, she honed her craft at Ancient Wild Safaris, Denwise Tours, and Beyda Tours and Travel, where she learned to design itineraries, cost packages, and coordinate the kind of seamless logistics that turn a good trip into an exceptional one.
At Accessible Travel Kenya, Maureen brings all of that experience to bear on something she finds genuinely meaningful: making sure that every client — regardless of their access needs — receives a reservation experience that is thorough, responsive, and completely stress-free. She understands that for travellers with disabilities, the details are not just nice to have. They are everything. A wrongly booked room or a missed transfer is not an inconvenience — it can unravel an entire journey. Maureen does not let that happen.
A graduate of Kenya Methodist University’s BSc Travel and Tourism Management programme and a trained Galileo reservations specialist, she combines formal grounding with hard-won practical knowledge. She is the person on the other end of the email who already knows what you need before you finish asking.
