A short safari north of Nairobi to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, home to the largest black rhino population in East Africa and a chimpanzee sanctuary. Two nights at Sweetwaters Serena Camp, with game drives in your own adapted Land Cruiser.
Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi – Ol Pejeta
Drive north past the slopes of Mount Kenya to Ol Pejeta Conservancy (about 4 hours). Afternoon game drive. Full board at Sweetwaters Serena Camp, facing its floodlit waterhole.
Day 2: Ol Pejeta
Game drives across the conservancy: black and white rhino, the chimpanzee sanctuary and, with luck, lion and leopard. The last two northern white rhinos live here.
Day 3: Ol Pejeta – Nairobi
Morning game drive and breakfast, then drive back to Nairobi.
