Drive north to the foot of Mount Kenya in your own Land Cruiser with a driver-guide, stay two nights, full board, at Tha Nickolee Hotel on the Nyeri–Nanyuki road, and spend a day in Ol Pejeta Conservancy, home of the last two northern white rhinos and a chimpanzee sanctuary.
Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi – Mount Kenya
Pick-up in Nairobi and drive north through the farmland of central Kenya to Tha Nickolee Hotel, about three hours. Afternoon at leisure.
Day 2: Ol Pejeta Conservancy
A full day of game drives in Ol Pejeta, with black and white rhino, lion, elephant and the Sweetwaters chimpanzee sanctuary. Cross the equator on the way.
Day 3: Mount Kenya – Nairobi
Breakfast, then drive back to Nairobi for drop-off at your hotel or the airport.
